without it the cpu would be useless thus leaving only 256 MB for graphics.
thats why you only have rts games on 360 because its hard to do it with only 256 MB unless if they make an rts engine specially for computers with 256 MB of graphics memory, and even in that case it will still run more superior on 360 because 360 would have twice the memory.
